The Master and the Doctor had a boyband when they were young. Their songs included:
Please Don’t Be Rassilon’s (a love ballad)
Prying Prydonians (a song about the High Council…banned from public)
Let’s Rename the Death Zone [To the Love Zone] (a highly inappropriate song full of looms)
Sadly, nobody on Gallifrey seemed to enjoy their songs.
[The Rani chooses the most inopportune moments to wake up in my head; I can’t write now, I’m at work!]
"— A neural pathway can hardly be compared to the Silk Route, you imbecile. There is too much chemistry involved in the former.”
Recently watching movies with vaguely reptilian monsters makes me want to have the Rani have one of these. so… the Rani with a Dragon UuU

She was resigned to spending her evening alone in the pub when she felt a faint tingle of awareness. She glanced up as the woman sat next to her and bit back a smile at the sight; her future self had come to her rescue and the Rani couldn’t be more pleased by this outcome.
The Rani slid a pleased look at her other self. “Why, isn’t this a treat,” she purred as she sipped her drink. “I was half expecting the Master to waltz in here, bemoaning his precious Doctor’s rejections again. You, my dear, are a much more pleasant surprise.” She quirked an eyebrow flirtatiously as she looked her other self over. “Glad to see that I’m doing well.”
"Couldn’t let that happen now, could I?" she replied with an amused smile, "We both know how dreadful a bore the Master can be most of the times."
She sat on the stool next to her past self; arching an eyebrow, she gave her partner a quick once over.”You’re not looking too bad yourself,” she commented, matching her counterpart’s tone. Seeing her past self was reassuring — like seeing a familiar face in a crowd of strangers, but only better because that familiar face was your own.
"What brings you to this backwater planet then?" she inquired, taking a sip from the drink the bartender had placed in front of her, "Planning on adding any new trees to the landscape? Can’t say I won’t support such an endeavor, though I draw the line at decorating them…."
