Rest in Peace Kate O’Mara
10 August 1939 - 30 March 2014
RIP to the wonderful Kate O’Mara who played the Rani in Classic Who.
The Whoniverse keeps losing people….
“Yes, but don’t you see? There is chemistry in humans; they’re always communicating, they’re forming bonds, they’re not just trading objects, they’re exchanging ideas, ideas that will change Earth’s future…”
"That’s of no interest to me, such interactions are hardly quantifiable. Besides, sociological concepts are hardly relevant to my research.”
The Master and the Doctor had a boyband when they were young. Their songs included:
Please Don’t Be Rassilon’s (a love ballad)
Prying Prydonians (a song about the High Council…banned from public)
Let’s Rename the Death Zone [To the Love Zone] (a highly inappropriate song full of looms)
Sadly, nobody on Gallifrey seemed to enjoy their songs.
[The Rani chooses the most inopportune moments to wake up in my head; I can’t write now, I’m at work!]
"— A neural pathway can hardly be compared to the Silk Route, you imbecile. There is too much chemistry involved in the former.”
